People ask me if I did #BigChop. This is the answer. Yes, I did. One year after starting my transition I decided to cut all my damaged ends and start a journey. The all natural journey. No more relaxers. No more burning scalp. No more hair texture that’s not naturally mine. Only me with a new hair that I knew nothing about. This is big chop. A new beginning. Self knowledge. Self acceptance. Self love.
I am not saying you need to do a big chop to get all this, if you’re transitioning, you can perfectly let your hair grow and cut your ends regularly until get rid of all these dead ends. But I want to motivate who doesn’t take the step because is too afraid. Or because is going to be too difficult. If I can do it, I am sure you can do it as well. -
Keep doing the right choices if you’re going through this. Listen to your hair, start understanding it. Do your thing and specially, do what makes you happy. And no matter what, just keep moving forward.
Good luck curlies.
